Sthing interesting happened last weekend (on top of the fact ma WHOLE fam stayed over at ma place in KJ) when we brought Zafran for a swim in the condo pool.

We made a deal to bring Zafran for a swim in the condo pool when he came over. The water was not very clean however, but since it's not TOO bad, we let him play around for a while anyways. There was another lil boy playing in the pool with him too. Was pretty fun.
After splashes of water and maybe around 10mins of fun in the pool, we took zafran out to dry him up and feed him some tit bits.

Then came a lady in short hair, with dark brown robe..with a handsize cross hanging on her chest and a bible in her hand. I was like "woh..." what an entry. Suddenly she just stopped beside us, started yelling on how she cant understand why we were swimming in the dirty pool and going on and on about skin desease and this and that. The lil chinese boy who was still in the pool jump out of the pool immediately. None of us responded to her. So she walked on..stopped again started to mumble again..then just stared at all of us.

With all due respect, the message was there. Even we knew that. And on some level we would give her some credit for pointing that out. But it was the way she said it. She was literally just yelling at all of us! This is a lady who was dressed up in such a way to portray how holy she is, but when she 'preached' she was just literally yelling at us. Who the heck is even gonna pay attn to you that way?

I mean seriously, the intention was good. But no matter what the message is, it is important how you deliver it. Portraying yourself as religious as that has weight to it too. You carry your religion's values and beliefs with you outwardly (just like how muslims in hijabs). You can't just go yelling at strangers to get your point across!

She then sat at the patio by the pool and read her bible. Aini was saying "maybe she's guarding the pool now.." :P

Finally! Found the reason to my migrains when ever I have full day back to back meetings or when I'm cooped up in the building for the whole day. I need my "cigi breaks"!!!

When I say 'cigi'..i don't mean cigerates ofcourse. I'm allergic to those! (and i find it a stupid thing anywyas, no offense). I need ma breaks..of FRESH AIR.

Yesterday I was in a brand workshop from 9am- 7pm..and during those hours I was literally in The Gardens Hotel at all times! I didn't even feel the sun or fresh air for even a split second and it drove me crazy! By 3 migrain attacked me..and by 7pm I was half dead. I was tired and lost ma appetite. Then only I realise...I've gotta get ma "cigi breaks" like how those cigi-addicts does. The only diff is i just need to breath in for fresh air!

So to those who suffers migrain like me..and forever sitting infront of the computer..try this method..it might just work! :D

Aduhai...really la..what's happening to the world! The good thinks they r not good. The bad thinks they r good..or pretending that they are. The lazy acts like they are hardworking, the hardworking looks like they r lazy! Haiyooooooooooo!!!

Yesterday I came across a blog of an old acquaintance. Omg..I'm sorry la. I hardly judge someone from their size, but this is too much! TOO MUCH!

When you look like that, why the hell are you dressed that way?? There are descent way to dress whether you are a pin size or obese! Pls, stop living in denial! Look in the mirror and find your TRUE self. Yes ppl always say "screw what ppl think" but that only works to some extend! when you are that big..n dress up like you are size 0...err..seriously sthing is wrong with your super confidence la ma dear. Then again.. maybe this generation of really big peeps have higher confidence than before kot. Tp, dress up tastefully lah. Look at many of the bigger size celebrities..some dresses up well.

Remember..."less is more" doesnt apply to clothing!!!

Gosh...It has been way too long since I shopped for myself. Since I got married, every dime I have I put priority for the house or ma hubby. Believe it or not, but I havent gotten myself a new pair of working shoe since I got married last August!!! That's 8 months!! My God! I used to get a pair if not 2 PER MONTH!

I must say, its a mix emotion really. Today i decided to shop sthing for me. Since I got ma bonus 2 weeks ago, I havent gotten maself anything special. I've gotten shafiq something..and belanja ppl..but not anything for maself. I always look at those young mothers who put their kids before their looks and tot to maself i never wanna turn out that way. But here i am, not even a mother yet, but have put maself 3rd or 4th in line after everyone and everything else when comes to spending money on! What the hell? Every lil dime I have xtra Ill think of what else can I do for ma home? Or for Shafiq? Or for ma fam? Or for ma friends. I forgot about maself. Again, I'm not even a mother yet!

So, with aze's and shafiq's force, Aze accompanied me shopping today. Got maself 2 pairs of new working shoes (which I was reluctant to buy at first..not cos it wasnt nice, just cos..like i said..ive lost the drive to do so..i always think of what i can do wth that money for others) and 2 khakis (huge bargain man!! 25bucks each! crazy!!!! never gotten a pants that cheap!) Ofcourse the day will not be completed if i hadnt spend sthing on shafiq OR the house. I got him a khakis and shorts, and some stuff for the house :P

Anyways, I'm glad i did the shopping. Ive gotta get back in gear. I cant lose who I am just bcos I'm married. I've gotta start putting myself as priority back. It's time to get back in the game!!

:D

So...a month + ago (cant remember exactly how long it has been...seem too long)..ma dearest lil sis, Fatin, left for Sydney, Aussie to pursue her degrees.  And she has complained MANY times I didnt blog about her. HAHAHAHAHA. nah..this is for you mate~! :P

One thing ill remember forever is the drama i created in KLIA. hahaha. i promised maself i will NOT cry...but who was i kidding la kan? :P Not that i only cried, i couldnt stop! hahahaha. shafiq had to comfort me! HAHAHAHAHAHA. lawak siottt! :P :P all YOUR fault fatin! :P

Aih thinking of this kan..I wonder how the hell will i react if i have to leave ma fam...and Aini especially! If fatin ma sis in law for 6 months pun dah teresak2..ni kan pulak ma sis for the past 24 years! *gulp*....takut nak pk..

I had the privilege to be part of the first few to watch Geng: The Adventure Begins grand preview yesterday at Cinneleisure, Damansara.

I must say, I was BLOWN AWAY. Those who knows me well will know la how high ma standards are. I was expecting a movie that is within my expectation, but man was I surprised. To the Lescopaque team..u have the whole highway right in front of u to explore. You've got the skills and capabilities and most importantly the creativity! The jokes in the movie r so spontaneous it caught all of us by surprise all the time..just what jokes r meant to do! Bukan mcm lame jokes "Kenapa Siti Nurhaliza menyanyi tutup telinga? Sebab kalau tutup mulut tak dgr la!" ...................................................................seriously? shouldnt call urself comedian Apek.

There are a lot of improvements that can be done definitely..esp on the storyline. The idea is there but some parts are a lil draggy. But forgiven giving the circumstances that this is the first 3d movie ever in Malaysia and that is truly 100% Malaysian made. But seriously while enjoying the movie, half way through especially during the 'darker' part of the mov, I totally forgot it was a Malaysian movie! The Malay spoken language that reminded me back. hehehee
Actually I ni tak minat imaginative-based movie actually. So for those who r on the same boat as me, trust me its still worth ur money watching in the cinema. u will definitely enjoy the 1st half of it, and blown away by their skills n creativity to create a fantasy through the 2nd half.

The best part was that Shafiq was the MC for us family viewing at hall 9. Hahahaha. When he started talking....kitaorang kat belakang semua tak ngaku tu keluarga! HAHAHAHA. so funny. the best part will be "Ok..Al-Fatihah.." and terus 4mins song by Madonna & Justin Timberlake berkeumandang di speaker2 hall. HAHHAHAHAHAHHAA! Very right-on-the-time-technical-error. :P
I think all of us will if not should be proud of this movie! :)

Again, well done Lescopaque and the Geng. Your adventure has just begin! All the best! :)

I never had the chance to blog about ma wedding. Weird..i know! I have the time to blog about so many things but God knows y I didnt blog about post wedding! Ish ish ish..

Anyways, besides owing a lot on ma parents & fam, Shafiq's fam and friends for making our wedding receptions a very memorable one..I must thank Jalinan Kasih..especially Idy for creating wonderful dresses for me and making me look damn flawless and pretty on ma big day(s)!

We got Jalinan Kasih to design the Dewan Masyarakat Penyayang and our outfits for both Penang and Shah Alam receptions. I must admit though that the design for the hall wasnt as I wished or expected. A lot more could have been done. Then again, nothing much I can complain cos despite being a fussy lil fish..i was away in KL most of the time. So it was difficult to monitor and making sure I get exactly like how I wanted. That was the only thing I was terkilan about la.

The simple makeup on solemnization day

Hall, makeup and outfits in Penang

Outfits and makeup for Shah Alam reception

But i must give huge credit for Idy's creativity with ma dresses and Shafiq's outfits as it turned out gorgeous and had a lot of ppl asking about it. So was ma makeup! Idy was very understanding with me needing him to wear glove when he make me up cos I had prayers water. He did it awesomely well..and from the bottom of my heart..thank you! He also did my make up for Shah Alam's ceremony and the outfits. Gorgeous wasn't it? :)

I highly recommend Jalinan Kasih for those who want great service for their wedding..esp the dresses and makeup. Ma recommendation will be to get Idy to handle your needs. :)

Jalinan Kasih has 2 outlets. One near PISA and the other near Sunshine Square, Penang.

I'm sure we are very aware of what's going on in Gaza as press swamp us with images and updated news on it everyday. What have you done so far? Talk about it with your fam and friends? Pitty them? Argue about boycotting? Curse US? Vote who's right and who's wrong? It's not enough by just TALKING and not doing anything!

It's time to give a helping hand. All it takes..few mins of ur wonderful, safe life!

1. Pray to God for their safety
2. Donate! Yes..it helps. If 1 person donates RM 1 even...just imagine how much we will be able to collect! Just take a few bucks from your shopping funds to help these ppl. If you can spend hundreds of bucks on cigis and shoes and handbags a month...imagine how much that could benefit them if you donate part of it. You should be ashame of yourself if you haven't done so. really.

It's not just about helping another muslim, it's about being HUMAN. Do what we can to help.

So...I celebrated New Years in Johor..like literally cos we reached JB when the clocks turns 12am, 1st Jan 2009. I must say, only one word to describe JB... (johorians..close ur eyes!)...B.O.S.A.N!!!

We stayed at Putri Pac...2 rooms- joinned. 1st day went around the boring-JB..mmg takde ape lah. no place for sight seeing or what ever! gosh. so in the evening we went to singapore..tu pun for the night safari only. We left behind Faliq as a punishment for losing his passport. :P hehe kesian gak.

Singapore is not so bad. In fact...i dont get the whole comments and judgement ppl throw to em. Maybe cos of some kiasu-lame-Singaporians, we generalise all of em? If u wanna say they r not friendly...it's not so different with malaysians either. not all of us r friendly. I think it's because mostly their government works la..thats y we Malaysians hate Singaporeans so much.

The night safari was very interesting. Although it was a lil dissappointing cos Eddie promised there will be cows and chickens!!! big fat liar :P :P
The atmosphere was nice. Even though the animals r not that rare or what not, but the presentation and scenery and atmosphere definitely help make night safari a must-go-to place in Singapore. Well done there.

Anyways, our 2nd day in Johor was better. We went to Jusco Tebrau while the guys went for Fri prayers. What we shopped in JB? I didnt. Fatin and mami did...in La Senza! HAHAHAHAHAHAH! mcm la kat KL ni takde kan.. :P hehehe

But the best part was our late lunch at 4pm at Segget cafe - Nasi Ayam Penyet. SEDAP SIOTTTTTTTTTT!! What i love most is how humble the dish was but yet its so damn nice!!! I tell u..i could have had 2 plates! But since everyone only had 1 (and i took half of fatin's rice)...malu la to tambah :P hehehe. Didnt get the chance to snap a pic of it cos i was just too damn hungry then :P It had very cryspy plain fried chicken, small tempe goreng, small fried soya, a lot of ulam and the awesome sambal belacan, a bown of soup and rice :D *drooling*. I WANT MORE!!!

That night was Omar & Rosheen's wedding. I must say one of the simplest wed I've attended but I loved it! Except for the whole Raja Mahkota arrangement la cos of the protocols n all that. The food was not bad (but because I could not stop thinking about the ayam penyet, i didnt have 2nds). Omar looked charming as ever and Rosheen was very beautiful in dark brown lace dress.

After that we lepak in the room playing cards - bluff! Hahahaha..i must say that was one of the best experience! Faliq mmg muka PENIPU!!!! n fatin suck at it despite claiming herself terror! HAHAHAHAHHAA. lawak seh.

Anyways, went bk to KL after laksa johor as lunch at Selaseh. Sedih la jugak. Cos i must admit I had a lot of fun with shafiq's fam. :)

Tp it came with a price - fever once i reached KL!!! gosshhh. and we were so tired. Dah la didnt make it for Ak's wedding! huhuhu. Until today I'm still sick. Ish.... *sok sek*

Happy New Year to rest!

Cheers~
Aina Nadzir

Here comes another year. How fast time flies!!! Gosh...2008...a very very memorable year for me i guess. Work, friendship, love, marriage, new fam...my my. I can say I didn't just change my status from Ms to Mrs, everything changed! Responsibilities, expectations, ambition...i guess it came in the package.

So how are you celebrating your new year? By partying? Fireworks? Alcohol? Sex? Prayers? Sleep?

Don't make 2009 just another year with just a different no. on the calendar. A new year should mean a new age, new challenges, new responsibilities, new approach to things, ..hell even a new shoe! hahahaha. Theres no need for NEW RESOLUTIONS just cos everyone else is doing it. Just know that ull face new things, and u will face em eventually. if u think it's just another no in ur life, it WILL be just another year.

However and what ever you do, wishing all of you a very happy and blessed new year. Hopefully we will all be a better human being, a better child, a better employee, a better life partner, a better citizen, a better of everything if not the best.

Cheers~

After all the political drama in the office, I finally got a place to attend Global Brand Forum last Thurs for 2 days at Palace of Golden Horses.

Stood behind the tagline "When was the last time you were inspired?", I wonder if the currect and future sponsors still feel inspired.

1st day was not so bad. Although I wished that in the future, they would come up with a better way for registeration cos lining up for half an hour is just ridiculous!

Among the 4 speakers, at least 1 inspired me. And we made the conclusion that Malaysians r better speakers compared to foreigners from the forum, thanks to Datuk Tony Fernandez. Truely was inspired by him..esp the way he laughs! "haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...." that's how he laughed everytime he made jokes on MAS. hahahhaa. Truely amazing on how he thinks about his business. Truely a people-centric company. Well done. but even then, after his very entertaining speech which I'm sure converted some MAS loyalist towards AirAsia, I stay put for MAS. Cos i believe he was speaking and praising AirAsia from a CEO point of view. To Tony, my strongest suggestion would be for you to go on diguise and pretend to be someone else and fly on your flights. You will see a whole different view on you overrated-friendly-staffs stewardess, REALLY. Then again, he deserved the award la as a brand icon. He proved that dreams to come true and you have gotta take risks to be successful.

2nd day was very dissappointing as a whole. Lets go straight to the biggest drama of the event, Ivanka Trump not showing up! Instead, she was on the screen. Worst, none of us were informed that she will not be around, and the whole act was like as if they've decided and assumed we will be OKAY with her on the screen while we sit back and watch the pre-recorded-vid of her. Where's the popcorn then?? Rhiz Khan, the mc was even talking to the screen between cuts as if he was literally talking to her LIVE, just before the technical team screwed it up (or in malay we say kantoi) the whole thing with "RESUME" on the screen when they playback her vid. No Q&A was done except the pre-given questions the organizer had given her earlier on. Gosh...... seriously??? I think extra 200 participants (+-) were there during the 2nd day, and I'm sure partly because they and everyone else wanted to meet Ivanka Trump LIVE! It was bad lah.

Thats not the worst! Apparently Mallika Sherawat, some controvesial Bollywood actress was to fill up half of Ivanka's time, to make up for her absentee. Being the typical dramatic-Bollywood actress who claims "my brand is rebellious!", she didnt come on time. With excuse 'tired' whilst the rest waited for her in the ballroom, and she in her grand hotel room. SERIOUSLY??
Hence Rhiz thought it's best to open the floor for Q&A and feedback while they drag her down. BIG MISTAKE. literally everyone who got up screw the organizer. One guy got up 3 times on Ivanka issue. I understand why.

But the worst part was when a UOB rep stood up to correct Global Brand Forum Chairman's statement in speech about UOB's move in Singapore to retrench 200 employees 2 days before Christmas and yet stand behind "United behind people" tagline. Karthik got the wrong brand!! It wasn't UOB. It was someone else with the same brand colour as UOB. How embarassing is that??? The chairman of GBF got the WRONG BRAND?? My my.....

The day got worst with Oliver Stone who stood up and said "I don't know why I'm here. I shouldn;'t be here..................I'm anti-brand". Then what the hell r u doing in a GLOBAL BRAND forum?? "I happened to be in HK and going to Singapore, and the money is good". Nice.....wasted our money with ur babling on war and politics.

Owh Mallika showed up after that. I really have no idea y cos there's nthing that we could learn from her presence! One participant actually stood up and made a pretty rude remark about Rhiz saying sthing about Mallika and Oliver as great ppl, and said that is degrading to put her the same level as Oliver. WHAT??? all the dramaaaaaaaaaa.....goshhh

But as promised, the day ended the best way possible. Martin Lindstrom totally captured us all. The forum turned into his personal workshop. I think nearly everyone was with eyes wide open during his presentation (except for Afdlin Shauki..). It totally blew us away. And the reality of advertising and brand was presented in the most transparent way possible. Amazing really. Unfortunate that none of my big shots were there. The guys with 'C' in their positions should have been there. Maybe then there will be good impacts on TM.

Anyways, despite the whole drama and lousy arrangement from the organizers, Im still very interested to attend next year's. Just to see what else can this ppl do to INSPIRE us. A lot of improvements need to be done, and I'm sure Media Prima can do that if they put "money money money" issue aside for a while and concentrate on the forum as a whole.

p.s- No article or news on the TRUTH about Global Brand Forum 08 in Malaysia out there. The news on TV and newspapers only report the 'good' part and didnt even mention anything about Ivanka not being there or what not. Everything twisted to as if ..wow...new techonology..hologram..n Ivanka participating ..crap. One thing i learn, not everything u watch in the news and read are the whole truth.

Who would think anyone would fall asleep in a Bond movie??

I watched Bond mov last Sat with ma other half, Abang n his fren, Aini and Nad. Roughly half an hour also to the end of the mov (I think so la..dunno how long I was out)...i totally DOZZED OFF! I dont fall asleep in mov ok! This is the first and it says a clearrr msg.

Bond's essence are the gadgets and ladiesss. There were NO gadgets!!! Even the Austin Martin was only during the first few mins of the mov. tu pun car crashed like shitt. And that was it! Unless u call a red jeep and bike Bond vehicles la (then again I dozzed off the last half an hour..but dont think there were any canggih cars then la). Where's the all-in-1 watch? or what ever la..where r the gadgets??? And do u call that gal Bond gal?? plsss.. ishh..downgraded la. Dah tu Bond emotional la pulak. ape kes???

Anyways, for me..this is one of the worst Bond movies la. or should i just say the worst? :P I hope the next one will be better since they make this story line damn vague, clearly to say that there will be a continuation. hmph!

A friend forwarded this article to me and I find it very interesting and true, so I've decided to share it with all of you cos I believe there's truth in it that could help each and everyone of us, no matter what status we are, in a relationship or not.

To the writer, well done! :)

DID I MARRY THE RIGHT PERSON?

During one of our seminars, a woman asked a common question. She said, 'How do I know if I married the right person?'

I noticed that there was a large man sitting next to her so I said, 'It depends. Is that your husband?'
In all seriousness, she answered 'How do you know?'

Let me answer this question because the chances are good that it's weighing on your mind.

Here's the answer.
EVERY relationship has a cycle. In the beginning, you fell in love with your spouse/partner. You anticipated their call, wanted their touch, and liked their idiosyncrasies (unconventional behavior/habit) .

Falling in love with your spouse wasn't hard. In fact, it was a completely natural and spontaneous experience. You didn't have to DO anything. That's why it's called 'falling' in love... Because it's
happening TO YOU.

People in love sometimes say, 'I was swept off my feet.' Think about the imagery of that__expression. It implies that you were just standing there; doing nothing, and then something came along and happened TO YOU.

Falling in love is easy. It's a passive and spontaneous experience. But after a few years of marriage, the euphoria (excitement) of love fades. It's the natural cycle of EVERY relationship. Slowly but surely, phone calls become a bother (if they come at all), touch is not always welcome (when it happens), and your spouse's idiosyncrasies, instead of being cute, drive you nuts.

The symptoms of this stage vary with every relationship, but if you think about your marriage, you will notice a dramatic difference between the initial stage when you were in love and a much duller or even angry subsequent stage.

At this point, you and/or your spouse might start asking, 'Did I marry the right person?' And as you and your spouse reflect on the euphoria of the love you once had, you may begin to desire that experience with someone else. This is when marriages breakdown. People blame their spouse for their unhappiness and look outside their marriage for fulfillment.

Extramarital fulfillment comes in all shapes and sizes. Infidelity is the most obvious. But sometimes people turn to work, a hobby, a friendship, excessive TV, or abusive substances.

But the answer to this dilemma does NOT lie outside your marriage. It lies within it. I'm not saying that you couldn't fall in love with someone else.

You could.

And TEMPORARILY you'd feel better. But you'd be in the same situation a few years later. Because (listen carefully to this):

THE KEY TO SUCCEEDING IN MARRIAGE IS NOT FINDING THE RIGHT PERSON; IT'S LEARNING TO LOVE THE PERSON YOU FOUND.

SUSTAINING love is not a passive or spontaneous experience. It'll NEVER just happen to you. You can't 'find' LASTING love. You have to 'make' it day in and day out. That's why we have the __expression 'the labor of love.'

Because it takes time, effort, and energy. And most importantly, it takes WISDOM. You have to know WHAT TO DO to make your marriage work.

Make no mistake about it. Love is NOT a mystery. There are specific things you can do (with or without your spouse) to succeed with your marriage.

Just as there are physical laws of the universe (such as gravity), there are also laws for relationships. Just as the right diet and exercise program makes you physically stronger, certain habits in your relationship WILL make your marriage stronger. It's a direct cause and effect. If you know and apply the laws, the results are predictable. .. you can 'make' love.

Love in marriage is indeed a 'decision'.. . Not just a feeling.

Remember this always:

'God determines who walks into your life. It is up to you to decide who you let walk away, who you let stay, and who you refuse to let go.'

Hail to Obama! Hopefully with him as the new President of United States, there will be more peace in the world.

Anyways, don't you think ma title is true? First Lewis Hemilton as the first black F1 World Champion, then the big one, Obama, 1st Balck US President.

What ever it is, I hope this is a sign that everyone is more open and concentrates on the ability one have rather than the colour or race in someone. What's the use of looking at that anyways? When you die God will not ask what colour you were, now would He?

Peace~!

Hahahaha...my my...the risk they take to ensure we have electricity is just overwhelming! This morning on the way to work, we saw this man..hanging on the big, thick electric wire in Kelana Jaya!
Well done TNB..tp next time buat la malam2..seriau ah jatuh atas jalan yg penuh dgn kereta heading for work. :P
